Pete Johnson visit

We were absolutely delighted to welcome children’s author Pete Johnson to our school last Thursday afternoon.  Pete has written loads and loads of fantastic books such as The Ghost Dog, Traitor, The Vampire Blog, Rescuing Dad, How to Train your Parents, and How to Update your Parents, which are just a few.  Pete came and spoke to all the children and staff telling them about his love of reading; how he started writing books; who and what inspired him to write; and how he never gave up to get his first book published.  The children were enthralled and captivated, and the staff were too.  He also signed 240 copies of his books so that every pupil went home with one of Pete’s books.  This was made possible by Chorleywood Bookshop who had applied for funding for the project from Hertfordshire Council.  A big thank you to Pete for spending so much time with us, and to Janet from the Bookshop for making it happen!
